-I’m happy to recommend another sweetener, called Whey Low, that taste, looks, bakes, even feels exactly like common table sugar. Whey Low is an all-natural blend of fructose (fruit sugar), sucrose (table sugar), lactose (milk sugar) – for those with a lactose concern, the minuscule a amount of milk sugar in this product will not interfere with the body’s ability to digest dairy products. These three natural sugars that comprise Whey Low work synergistically in the small intestine to interfere with the normal absorption of each other into the bloodstream.

Whey Low was developed by Dr. Lee Zehner after his wife, Sue, was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Sue Zehner loves baking and cooking; with Whey Low she can now ‘bake her cake and eat it too” and so can you.

    Ancient History of Yoga

Although yoga has only recently become more popular in the west, the practice of yoga has been used in the east for thousands of years. The history of yoga begins in the times of ancient Indian asceticism, which was found in the Indus Valley civilization which existed in 3300 to 1700 BC. When examining historical sites where there are ruins with figures in artwork and on walls, the history of yoga can be seen since there are often figures that are in positions that are distinctly yoga poses that are still used today. There are other picture histories that show many different yoga activities that confirm the history of yoga in this, very ancient, civilization.

    The Next Civilizations

There are some other practices of yoga mentioned in the Vedas, which are found in 800 to 100 BC and are still used in different meditations. The history of yoga continues into the recent times as the practice of the different forms of yoga has been refined and reconfigured throughout the ages.

There are many different types of yoga that have been passed down through the years in the history of yoga. There is the Hatha yoga style which is usually slow paced and gentle in comparison to other styles and is a good introductory style for users to practice when beginning. There is also the Vinyasa style of yoga in the history of yoga. This type of yoga provides a combination of the yoga poses and the breathing techniques that are practiced in this form of yoga. This style is a little more vigorous than the Hatha style, and there are some combined poses that follow one after another in a series. One common series is called the Sun Salutation, which is often used in repetition to warm up or warm down in a yoga class.

Another style of yoga in the history of yoga is called the Iyengar style, which emphasizes not just the poses, but also the alignment of the body in the poses to make sure that the person is doing them correctly. The Kundalini style is one that uses the breathing method of rapid breaths in conjunction with the physical poses to create a freeing of the energy in the body, thus making it healthier. Finally, there is the style of yoga that is called Bikram yoga, which is practiced in very hot conditions and is very vigorous. The room should be about 95 to 100 degrees so that the participants sweat a lot to let out toxins.

Should someone supplement Potassium? Potassium is a key ingredient to maintaining a healthy heart, muscle function, kidneys, nerves, and your digestive system. While certain foods naturally will provide the potassium levels most women and men need, there are select individuals who must have much more than what can be processed through eating like those without potassium issues. A potassium supplement is necessary for those who have either temporary or permanent deficiency that deplete their body of potassium, such as: being dehydrated, having vomited while sick, diarrhea, inflicted with kidney disease or gastrointestinal disease and from having fluids sweated out from your pores (heat stroke, sweat, dehydration, diarrhea, etc.), from vomiting (the 24 hour flu, bulimia, as a result of another condition), or because of having a disease, like Gastrointestinal disease, etc. Potassium supplements are specifically made to to restore or thwart potassium deficiencies.

Is there an ideal time to take your potassium supplement? The timing of your potassium supplements is depends on the kind of potassium you are currently taking, as its dosage and how often it is taken varies greatly. That said, however, potassium supplements are often taken two to four times per day, and most of the time with food. Your local druggist will help you if you should have any question or trouble creep up in relation to your supplements.

How should someone best take a potassium supplement? Always read the label of your prescription bottle for specific to that supplement, instructions. Both tablets and capsules should be taken whole; avoid crushing, if possible. That won’t be an option for every one. Individuals who have difficulty swallowing tablets may have that as an obstacle to overcome, that is alright. Do what you normally would do. If your potassium is in liquid, granule, effervescent tablet or powder be certain to mix your potassium in water, before drinking. Drinking in cold water can help in masking unfriendly flavors, or including your favorite fruit juice to your glass helps make your potassium much easier on your taste buds. Whichever form your potassium supplement comes in, taking your dosage with a full glass of water or a combination with juice is what is most recommended.

Are you considering learning how to meditate? Wondering what benefits the practice of meditation can AUTHENTICALLY bring into your life? Is it safe? Is it easy? Do you simply have MORE questions right now than answers across the board? If you said YES, fret not….you are NOT alone! It always amazes me (in a good way!) how many people have an assortment of interesting questions about the process (and practice) of learning meditation. And truthfully, many people procrastinate for a lifetime on getting started, rather than simply diving in and getting moving today! Sound like you? Curious to know more? Great….continue reading as we take a closer look below!

Filed Under: The Magic of Meditation Revealed

The truth? Meditation does ONE thing for just about everyone….exceedingly well: it relaxes you. It brings PEACE into your life. It changes the frenetic “monkey mind” of ferocious, swirling thoughts into a mental state of amazing equanimity. It DOESN’T happen overnight….but it does happen for most of us, and most likely WILL happen for you as well.

Filed Under: The BIGGER (and broader) Implications of Learning Meditation

Other than bringing about an amazing improvement in peacefulness, learning how to mediate can be transformation in a whole host of amazing ways:

    An Increase in Creativity

An IQ improvement (shocking but true!)

Greater spirituality and connectivity to the divine or nature

More focus at work (and at play)

    More Contentment, Happiness and Bliss

And much more as well..:-) Did you know, for example, that mediation has done something that NOTHING else has ever accomplished in prison systems from one side of the world to the next? It has caused DRAMATIC (and some say previously thought to be impossible) decreases in the amount of violence in maximum security prisons for violent offenders. A 10 day Vippasanna course, for example, as part of a global outreach into helping those incarcerated, has almost ELIMINATED the occurrence of violence in the inmates who have participated in the program! (shocking, I know… but very true none the less!)

    The Bottom Line?

Learning meditation can change your life. It doesn’t have to be hard…and using tools and technologies like sound, music and brain entrainment can actually make mediation EASY! (and it’s how I got started myself as well) Simply stated, if you’re like feels a bit out of control at times, and you’d like to know what “balance” really feels like, don’t waste another day….start learning mediation right away!

Printed materials like brochures can introduce certain procedures and treatments conducted in a Derma clinic. These prints are produced not just to market the services offered, but also to inform customers about the risks and effects of specific procedures. A Derma clinic can resort to brochure printing for creating informative prints for potential clients.

The Derma clinic brochures must include pertinent information about certain procedures like liposuction, laser surgery, acne control treatment, and plastic surgery procedures. The pamphlet design must also represent the kind of services offered at a certain clinic. Here are some of the elements that must be considered in designing a brochure for a Derma clinic.

The Size – The pamphlets can be as big as 11- x 17- to contain a lot of information about a specific procedure. Images and illustrations can also be included so that clients can clearly understand the process. Stock Material – Derma clinic brochures must be printed in quality stocks like 100 lb. Text Gloss and Matte, 10 pt. Cover Gloss and Matte, or 10 pt. Cover Gloss and Matte. Using quality stock materials will show that a Derma clinic delivers high quality services to its clients.

Images – More images of face, body and skin can be included on the prints. Images, photos or illustrations of dermatological procedures can also be provided on the pamphlets.

Content – The brochures must provide valuable information about a specific procedure or treatment. Frequently asked questions (FAQs) can be included for clients to have proper understanding on certain procedures.

Contact Details – Contact information including the address, telephone number, e-mail and website must be provided on the print brochures. This will give interested clients the chance to contact a specific Derma clinic.

These are important elements to be included on the brochure design. Incorporating these things will make a brochure an effective tool to promote certain dermatological procedures.

Are vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other supplements necessary in a mans diet? Do male supplements actually treat various conditions, such as prostate problems, impotence, and low libido? Are they effective for promoting general health and well-being?

In an ideal world, everyone (men and women alike) would get all the nutrition their body needs from food. But David Grotto, a former American Dietetic Association spokesperson, says that is wishful thinking, especially for men.

    Male Nutritional Deficits

According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), men between the ages of 31 and 50 do not eat enough fruit and vegetables to meet the minimum dietary guidelines. Current statistics show deficits in all nutritional categories, except for meat and beans.

Men suffer various health problems as a result of nutritional deficits. Matt McMillen, writing for WebMD, says that four different nutrients — vitamin C, vitamin E, beta carotene, and multivitamins — were evaluated over a ten-year period. While individual supplements did not have measurable benefits for men, combinations can have a positive impact on health.

    Multivitamins For Men

For example, vitamin C and vitamin E alone did not lower the risk of developing prostate disease or cancer. But studies indicate a combination of vitamins C and E, taken along with zinc and beta carotene, may slow the progression of an eye disease known as macular degeneration.

While individual supplements often fare poorly in clinical trials, multivitamins and combination male supplements can benefit mens health. Replicating whole food is nearly impossible in a supplement, but multivitamins that reflect food-based sources may help offset nutritional deficiencies.

Many doctors and dietitians recommend that men take a daily multivitamin to supplement their normal diet. However, Grotto reminds men that multivitamins “are supplements, not replacements.” Men should strive to get most of their nutrition from the food they eat.

    Important Dietary Supplements

The best dietary supplements are those that are specially formulated for men. Since men get enough iron from the meat they consume, their multivitamin should contain little or no iron. A vitamin D and calcium supplement is a good addition to the multivitamin, as these nutrients keep their bones strong.

    Herbs For Prostate Health

Natural herbs meet some of the specific needs of the male population. For example, prostate health and cancer are important health issues affecting men today. Male supplements that contain saw palmetto, red clover encourage prostate health. Vitamin B6, zinc, and lycopene (tomato extract) also promote a healthy prostate.

    Male Sexual Health

Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, affects millions of men. Male supplements that balance a mans sex hormones, promote mental relaxation, and improve blood circulation to the penis are beneficial to treat this condition. Ginkgo biloba, tribulus terrestris, gotu kola, muira puama, and other botanical extracts are common herbal remedies for impotence. L-Arginine supplements are also helpful.

Together, these nutrients are more therapeutic than individual supplements taken alone. A good multivitamin — combined with a balanced blend of herbs and a healthy, balanced diet — provides the most effective nutrients for male health, general health, and overall quality of life.

Heart diseases in India are on the rise in the present time. Earlier, people suffering from heart problems used to be from the age group of 40 &above. But recently it has been observed that heart problems have crept into the lives of younger age group. The rate of people suffering from heart diseases is almost double in India as compared with those of the western nations. Changing lifestyles which result in consumption of improper diets & lack of exercises are considered to be the major reasons behind people getting affected by heart diseases. A good diet results in good health. But the diet for people with heart diseases needs constant attention. Depending on the diet, health of the heart may improve or get worsened. For example diet with high cholesterol content will obviously make the situations worse for heart patients while a diet with Vitamin C and Vitamin E will surely improve health of the heart. To fight with heart problems, one needs to be disciplined in his/her diet plan. But urban lifestyle attracts people to unhealthy eating habits. Considering these constraints and requirements of consumers Dabur has recently introduced a health supplement, Dabur NUTRiGO. Dabur NUTRiGO provides required nutrients as per RDA(Recommended Dietary Allowance) guidelines for Indian consumers. Dabur NUTRiGO is the health supplement which contains appropriate quantity of essential nutrients. Ingredients of Dabur NUTRiGO consist of Vitamin C and Vitamin E that are essential for healthy heart. Vitamin C is well known for its antioxidant activity. When human body has more free radicals than antioxidants then these free radicals may result in cardiovascular disease, hypertension, chronic inflammatory diseases and diabetes. The other vital nutrient that takes care of the heart is Vitamin E. This Vitamin is again as essential as the aforementioned one. Vitamin Eis used to refer to a group of fat-soluble compounds that include bothtocopherols andtocotrienols. Most people will not find it hard tvery aging person will suffer from the same diseases as witnessed in the disco associate dementia with old age though recent research shows that not eoveries of other old age illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease as well as Alzheimer’s disease.
However, there no doubts the fact that vascular dementia is a pressing elderly health care issue that deserves to be taken a lot more seriously than is the case at present. The sad truth is that vascular dementia is the second most noticed elderly health care issue.
Insufficient Oxygen Supply to the Brain
Vascular dementia occurs when a person’s brain does not get sufficient oxygen over a prolonged period of time and the reason for this deprivation of oxygen is vascular by nature. Normally, blood carries sufficient oxygen to all parts of the human body.
The brain in particular is a vital part of the human body and during vascular dementia there is interference in the supply of oxygen to the brain resulting in possible mini strokes that might even occur without being realized by the affected person.
The main reason why an elderly health care issue such as vascular dementia merits serious consideration is that if its effects are allowed to accumulate it could result in further elderly health care issues such as dementia that resembles Alzheimer’s disease.
The sad part about vascular dementia is that it is most likely to affect people once they have reached their sixtieth birthday though this does not in any way imply that this elderly health care issue is only a concern after a person reaches sixty years of age because as mentioned the disease occurs without being noticed even at a younger age.
Some of the causes for this elderly health care issue occurring include lifestyles that a person has adopted in their early years of life and among these lifestyles you can include smoking and obesity as well as lack of sufficient exercise as too elevated cholesterol levels and high blood pressure.
Therefore, if you have neglected taking good care of you during your early years, then in later years you will be at risk of suffering from an elderly health care issue such as vascular dementia. The American population too is fast aging which in turn is giving rise to finding suitable health care for the aged.
Home health care elderly is a matter that needs to be addressed well before an elderly person becomes in need of such care. The fact of the matter is that once a person becomes old enough to need home health care they will be in a sorry state and will not know where to start, especially when it concerns hiring private help. It is therefore a good idea to address this need well before the occasion arises.
